Experience
Dance Express is strictly owner-operated. I created it in 1986 and I still perform at every event so you are guaranteed one of the most experienced disc jockeys in Central Oregon.

For more than seventeen years, I have been entertaining at wedding receptions, company parties, class reunions, picnics, birthdays, retirement parties, anniversaries, and fundraisers. In addition, I've taught fun, simple and crowd-engaging dances at dozens of events--many in conjunction with a DJ performance, many as a solo performer or with a partner--during my career.

I have presented popular and well-received workshops at national DJ conventions.  I am a contributing writer to Mobile Beat, a national DJ magazine and a member of the American Disc Jockey Association.

Music
Like almost all DJ companies, Dance Express offers a wide variety of music. But we take it one step further by displaying a list at every event with hundreds of the most popular songs available.

Your guests are invited to step up to our song directory and make requests. All of the songs are categorized by music styles for easy reference and browsing.  Naturally, we employ your guidelines to determine the appropriate songs for your event. 

Local Knowledge
Central Oregon is our home. I have visited and worked at many sites in the area. I learn about the facilities before playing there to insure access to stages and performance areas for quick, efficient set-up and tear-down. I come prepared with the appropriate equipment and staff to safely move my sound systems.

I contact your other service providers before the event to review your event program to insure consistent expectations.  I will pledge my commitment to partner with them to achieve your event vision.

Equipment
Dance Express uses only digital audio. We feature Crown and QSC amplifiers, Numark mixers and CD players, and clear, crisp Klipsch speakers. All of my components are permanently mounted in attractive, professional cabinets.  All wires are hidden or taped down and my area is clean, lean and organized.

Exemplary Service
My disc jockey service is my primary profession. I make a concentrated commitment to my business which means you get full time service.  We can schedule weekend, late afternoon or evening appointments to accommodate your schedule.

Price
The old expression "You Get What You Pay For" applies perfectly to the mobile DJ industry.

You'll find Dance Express' rates to be higher but, my service and performance to be incomparable.  If you're willing to settle for just average, then simply pay the going rate that many DJ companies charge.

However, if you're looking for something much better than average, consider the many differences that over seventeen years experience continues to make.

Availability
The #1 Frequently Asked Question: "Are you open on my date?"

It's the very first question everyone asks when they contact me. It's also one of the biggest problems in the special event business because the demand for quality entertainers well exceeds the supply on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Dance Express is not a high-volume company. I believe in fewer events and more attention focused on my clients.

This higher customer service even extends to people I cannot help due to availability.
Please call or e-mail me so we can find out if I am still open on your date. If not, I promise to do my best to refer you to a quality company. I even keep calendars of several great DJs so continuing your search will not be futile.

Pricing
Another popular question is "How much do you charge?"

I base Dance Express' fees on the scope of work. Not all events involve the same amount of time, equipment, personnel and/or labor.  Many combination wedding ceremonies and receptions require two or even three separate sound systems. Some events may require dancers or partners.

Therefore, I cannot offer a specific price without knowing what is involved to realize and exceed your vision for the event.

My fees start from $650. Most of my events currently fall in the $650 to $1,000 range.

Please keep in mind: Dance Express' pricing is all inclusive. We do not charge by the length of the performance; you will not find hidden charges, set-up fees or ala carte add-ons.
